Getting startedYour first summary

Create your Notely account, verify your email, and choose a membership. There is no ongoing free tier. Open My summaries and choose Start listening, or paste an existing transcript or your notes.

Ask everyone for permission before recording. After the meeting, stop listening, review the captured text, and generate your summary. Read the result before relying on it: AI can miss details or make mistakes.

RecordingMicrophone, recording and interruptions

Allow microphone and speech-recognition access when prompted. On the web, use a browser that supports speech recognition. If Start listening is unavailable, use the paste-text option. Check the microphone selected in your device and browser settings.

Keep Notely open and your screen awake while listening. Background and lock-screen recording are not supported. Calls, app switching, permission changes or speech-service limits can interrupt transcription. Stop and review the captured text before submitting. No audio file is saved for later recovery.

If no words appear, check microphone permission, input volume, your network and whether another app is using the microphone. Test with a short sentence before a long meeting. The iPhone recording locale is currently English (United States).

SummariesA summary failed or looks incomplete

Keep your transcript on screen and retry after checking your connection. Do not close the app or refresh while you still need an unsaved draft. Native drafts are held in memory and can be lost when the app closes.

Check that the captured text contains the missing details. If speech recognition missed a section, edit or paste the missing text before generating. Never share sensitive meeting text in a support request unless it is essential; a short description of the problem is usually enough.

MembershipPlans, limits and saved history

Starter is $0.99/month for five summaries per calendar month and five-day history. Unlimited is $7.99/month for unlimited summaries and 14-day history. Premium is $12.99/month for unlimited summaries, 30-day history and full transcripts. App Store prices are shown in your local currency before purchase.

Starter usage resets at the start of each calendar month in UTC. Changing plans does not restore already expired notes or extend the original expiry date of an existing summary. Share or save a copy before its history period ends.

MembershipHow the one-week trial works

Eligible website accounts can choose a seven-day trial of Unlimited or Premium. A payment method is required. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan renews at its monthly rate. Switching plans does not restart the web trial.

Apple determines eligibility for introductory offers in the iPhone app. When a free week is offered, confirm its terms in Apple's purchase sheet. Cancel an Apple trial at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid renewal. There is no trial on Starter.

BillingUpgrade, downgrade or cancel

For a website subscription, open Settings → Manage billing or Change plan. A paid upgrade may require an immediate prorated payment. New features unlock after payment succeeds. Complete any card-verification request shown in Settings.

Website downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; current features remain available until then. Settings shows scheduled changes. Keep current plan removes a scheduled website cancellation or downgrade.

For an Apple subscription, use Settings → Membership in the iPhone app or Apple's Subscriptions settings. Apple controls charges, plan-change timing, cancellations and refund requests. Canceling an Apple subscription does not cancel a website subscription, or vice versa. Review both if you previously subscribed in both places.

BillingI paid, but my plan has not updated

Confirm you signed in to the same Notely account you used when purchasing. Refresh Settings after returning from website checkout. If payment still needs authentication, complete the secure payment link in Settings.

In the iPhone app, use Restore Purchases on the membership screen while signed in with the Apple account that made the purchase. A purchase cannot be transferred to someone else's Notely account. Do not buy a second subscription just to troubleshoot.

If access still looks wrong, open a support request with the plan, purchase provider, approximate purchase time and any error shown. Never include your full card number, password, verification code or Apple purchase token.

PrivacyWhat happens to my meeting data?

Notely does not upload or store an audio recording. Speech recognition can use Apple or browser speech services. Creating a summary sends the transcript text to the AI provider disclosed by Notely; the iPhone app asks for consent before submitting text.

Summaries expire according to your plan's history period. Premium can save transcripts separately for the same period. Turn off Save transcripts in Settings to save only new summaries, keeping your other Premium benefits. The choice applies on every device, including a summary still processing when your change is saved. Previously saved transcripts keep their original expiry; deleting a summary also deletes its transcript. Meeting text still goes to the AI provider to create the summary. Copies you export or share are outside Notely's retention controls. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

AccountSign-in and password recovery

Use the email address registered with Notely. Jolts and other apps have separate users and passwords. Verify your Notely email before using the account. Check spam and junk folders if an account email does not arrive.

Use Forgot password on the sign-in page to request a reset link. Never send a password or reset link to support. If the link expires, request a new one. Support cannot view your password.

AccountDelete notes or your account

Deleting a summary also removes its stored transcript. This is permanent; exported copies are not deleted. Expired notes cannot be restored by support.

The iPhone app provides Delete account in Settings. Confirm with your password and type DELETE. Account deletion removes Notely notes, credentials and sessions. Website billing is canceled as part of deletion. Apple subscriptions must be canceled separately in Apple's subscription settings. Support requests are removed with your account; minimal purchase and operational references may remain for integrity and recordkeeping.

SupportContact support and check replies

Sign in and open Help & support to create a request. Choose a topic, describe what happened and include the error message and device/browser when helpful. Do not attach meeting transcripts, passwords or payment-card details.

Replies appear inside your Notely support request. Check that page for updates; email notifications are not currently sent. A reply from you reopens a resolved request. Support does not need access to your meeting content to review your account or billing status.
